What is the platform fee and how is it charged?
The platform fee is a percentage of Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) on each order processed through DropForge. It covers orchestration, vendor routing, tracking, and support tooling. Manufacturing, shipping, and payment processing fees are separate pass-throughs.
Can I start free and upgrade later?
Yes. The Launch tier costs $0/month. You only pay the 8% platform fee when you sell. Upgrade to Creator Pro or Studio anytime to unlock lower fees and advanced features like forecasting and multi-vendor routing.
What happens to my drops if I downgrade?
Active drops continue through fulfillment and closeout. Downgrading takes effect on your next billing cycle. Features above your new tier become read-only until you upgrade again.
Is there an annual discount?
Creator Pro is available at $1,990/year (save ~$400). Studio/Brand is $7,990/year (save ~$1,600). Enterprise contracts are typically annual with custom terms.
How do payouts work?
Payouts settle after confirmed shipment, based on the payout rules configured for your drop. Creator Pro and above support split payouts, affiliate tiers, and configurable reserves.
Do you provide legal or compliance advice?
No. DropForge collects and organizes required documentation (tax forms, safety checks, KYC info) and produces audit-ready exports. We do not make legal determinations or provide compliance advice.
